Technical Specifications -aQura
Premier aQura is an instrument for accurate measurement of neps and short fibre content in cotton samples. It provides a reliable estimate of the nep content by testing a sample of 5 to 10 grams within 3 minutes. A patented high speed AMI - Aero Mechanical Individualiser gently individualises the cotton fibres, which are then attenuated and presented to a sophisticated LASER beam for nep measurement. Information on neps provided by aQura include classification based on size and categorisation into seed coat and fibre neps. Premier aQura measures Short Fibre Content and other length characteristics from an end aligned sample. The reference length for determining the short fibre content is variable and can be configured by the user.
